FULLY DIGITAL! 2020 Peeps Diorama Contest
The Library Arts Center is excited to present an online, digital version of this light-hearted, creative contest using the iconic Easter Candies: PEEPS! Community members of all ages are encouraged to enter. While the contest is meant to engage primarily the region of Newport, surrounding communities, and New Hampshire and Vermont, everyone, everywhere is encouraged to get creative. Steppin’ Up to End Violence 2020
Annual fun run and 5k. Funds raised go towards support, services, and programs for survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence and stalking as well as prevention programs in local schools. Teams and individuals raise funds by gathering pledges.

Process Workshop: Expedition CAD
The American Precision Museum is offering two new Manufacturing Process Workshops on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 for children age 10-14. During this workshop, from 9:00AM to 11:30AM, participants will use Alibre Atom software to dive into CAD (computer-assisted design), creating their own 2-D drawing and a 3-D model before producing a 3-D printed product.

Full Circle: MFG DAY at the American Precision Museum
October is National Manufacturing Month; “Full Circle” at APM For its contribution, the American Precision Museum will highlight ingenuity in manufacturing in the past and in the present with “Full Circle" thanks to an exhibit partnership with Mastercam and HFO Trident.
